2022 ArCA Awards

Please consider your nominations for the 2022 Arkansas Counseling Association Awards. Arkansas has numerous outstanding candidates for these awards, and they need to be recognized for their work. This is your opportunity to give them the recognition they deserve! You are encouraged to take the time to nominate deserving candidates for one or more of the awards, so that we may recognize the excellent work being done in our state.

 These awards will be presented at the ArCA Conference in November. As an ArCA member, you have an opportunity to submit your nominee for one or more (Award recipients must be active members of ArCA to be considered for the award)

  • Roger Herring Research Award
    Honor and recognize high quality empirical research in area(s) of interest to one or more of the divisions of ArCA and to stimulate future research.

  • Blair Olson Distinguished Professional Service Award
    Given to a member for service defined as work done with the intent of benefiting others rather than for personal gain. This must be concerned primarily with the profession, related to areas of interest of one or more of the ArCA divisions.

  • Donald R. Rye Humanitarian and Caring Person Award
    Given to a person who gives to others without fanfare or expectations of reward other than personal satisfaction in seeing other persons made happier or the social milieu given more integrity.

  • ArCA Outstanding Legislator Award
    Given to outstanding work at the state level in passing legislation which results in a significant contribution to the profession.

  • Barry Wingfield Counselor Educator and Supervisor Excellence Award
    Given to a person who works as a full time faculty member in a counseling/counselor education program and also provides clinical supervision to LACs or LAMFTs.  This person should embody the humble and encouraging spirit that was displayed by Dr. Barry Wingfield.
